Merit Salary
Increases:
Unless otherwise stated, salaries are on a 5-step range. After employees
serve 52 weeks on each step of the range, they are eligible for a merit
increase to the next step.

Vacation
Maximum earned vacation is
10 days each year up to 3 years service; 15 days after 3
years; and 20 days after 12 years. Holidays: 14 paid
holidays per year. Sick leave: A maximum of 12 working
days of sick leave are earned each year - unlimited
accumulation.
Health Insurance
The County
provides employees with a choice of one of three Health
Insurance Plans at no cost to the employee. Cost of
dependent coverage is shared by the County and the
Employee.
Dental Insurance
Two dental
plans are available for County employees paid for by the
County. Dependent coverage is available at the employee's
expense.
Life Insurance
Employees
with 1 year continuous service receive $1,000 life
insurance; 3 to 4 years, $3,000; 5 to 9 years, $5,000; 10
or more years, $10,000. Premium is paid by the County.
Retirement Plan
County
Employees Retirement Law of 1937. Employees who are
members of the Retirement Association are also covered by
Social Security except Safety Members.
