Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of the responsibility to make timely payments.
The first installment of 2013-2014 taxes are due and payable on November 1, 2013 and will become delinquent if not paid by 5:00 p.m. on December 10, 2013; thereafter a 10% penalty will be added.
The second installment is due February 1, 2014 and will become delinquent if not paid by 5:00 p.m. on April 10, 2014; thereafter a 10% penalty and $10.00 cost will be added.
Both installments may be paid when the first installment is due.
To view your taxes or pay online using a credit card or check, go to www.sjgov.org/Treasurer or by phone, dial 1-866-954-1829. A convenience fee is charged by the company supporting the website/phone service. This convenience fee is in addition to the personal property tax amount paid.
Payments may be mailed to P.O Box 2169, Stockton, CA 95201. Mailed payments must be postmarked by the delinquent date to avoid late penalties. Payments can also be made at the San Joaquin County Tax Collector’s Office located at 44 North San Joaquin Street Suite 150, Stockton CA 95202 (entrance is on the Weber Avenue side of the building). Our normal business hours open to the public are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
