June 16, 2006 marked the inaugural flight of Stockton Metro's newest travel partner, Allegiant. On November 18, 2012, Allegiant began serving Honolulu, Hawaii and now offers seasonal service to the majestic island! The Las Vegas-based airline has made a name for itself by focusing on affordable travel between non-hub markets and two of the country's most popular vacation destinations - Las Vegas and Orlando, Florida. With several flights weekly, Allegiant is a very attractive travel alternative to high-fare, congested gateways in the region. The Stockton Metropolitan Airport is located on the Southern boundary of the city of Stockton in the heart of California's central valley. The Airport is conveniently located between two major north-south thoroughfares; Interstate 5, 1.5 miles to the West, and State Highway 99, which borders the airport on the East side, view map. Situated on 1,449 acres of land, the Stockton Metropolitan Airport has an 8,650-foot long, 150-foot wide primary ILS runway, with a take-off distance available of 11,037 feet. The Stockton Metropolitan Airport also has a 4,458-foot long, 75-foot wide general aviation runway. Six air carrier gates adjoin the 44,355 square-foot terminal building.
The Stockton Metropolitan Airport recently opened its new passenger hold room which now more than doubles seating for travelers with accommodations for 367 individuals. The new hold room was funded nearly entirely by a $3 million Federal Aviation Administration grant and offers opportunities for future expansion of airline service.

Airport Administration recently implemented a $7.00 per night parking fee, effective Sunday, July 1, 2012, for all vehicles utilizing on-site parking facilities. The Airport offers automated parking via credit or debit cards. The terminal lobby automated parking machine is equipped to accept cash payments. The open-lot parking facility is located approximately 50 feet from the terminal building. It is not necessary to place a receipt for paid parking in the vehicle itself.

The Stockton Metropolitan Airport Administration Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and does not close for the lunch hour. You may contact the Administration Office at (209) 468-4700.

The County Aviation Advisory Committee (CAAC) meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in the Airport Conference Room #202. The committee serves to provide for citizen input in the policy areas of developing aviation and aviation-related (including the Airport Industrial Park - Airpark 599 project) planning objectives along with the implementation of these objectives in the best interest of the County of San Joaquin. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend the meetings.

If you're looking for hangar or tie-down space for your aircraft, we can help. The Stockton Metropolitan Airport has hangars in varying sizes, many with electrical outlets and interior lighting.
