Welcome to the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division's web pages.  You may think that "garbage collection" is not very exciting.  We like to think of ourselves as material management specialists as well as stewards of the County.  In this day and age of being environmentally friendly, more and more materials are being kept out of the landfill through reuse and recycling programs.  Do you have something that you want to get rid of or want to learn more about the right way to dispose of or recycle different products?  Click the links to learn more about County landfills and what we do to divert material from going there.
