serving Stockton, Tracy, Lodi, Manteca, Ripon, Lathrop, Escalon and San Joaquin County

Green Gardener

Residents and business owners of today want to save money and protect the environment, so why not hire a landscaper who can help them do both?  The University of California Cooperative Extension with the support of San Joaquin County Public Works has created San Joaquin County's Green Gardener Program.  This UCCE qualification is bestowed upon local landscape professionals after the successful completion of a series of rigorous training and workshops.

UCCE Qualified Green Gardeners are trained in:

  • Best Management Practices for landscape maintenance
  • Water efficiency
  • Pesticide and fertilizer management
  • Soil Structures
  • Tree and plant pruning
  • Native plants
  • and much more...

The Green Gardener Program is designed to give residents and business owners an easy way to find a landscaper who appreciates their concerns about the environment and their budget.
