Background

Lovelace materials
Recovery Facility and Transfer Station is owned and operated by San Joaquin
County. The facility was purchased on July 1, 1977 and remodeled during 1994
and 1995. Lovelace encompasses 15 acres. This site receives an average
of 499 tons of waste daily, which is transported to Foothill Sanitary Landfill,
on County-owned transfer trucks carrying loads of up to 22 tons per truck.
During the year 2010, Lovelace received 127,380 tons of waste.
San Joaquin County's other facilities include the North County Recycling Center
& Sanitary Landfill, Foothill Sanitary Landfill
and the
San Joaquin
County Household Hazardous Waste
Consolidation Facility.

Hours of Operation

Gates open daily from 7:00 am
to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 4:00 on Saturdays
and Sundays.
Exceptions: Closed New Year's Day, Easter Sunday,
Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. |

Tarping Requirements

All loads must be properly
covered or tarped so that flying debris is
avoided.
Loads not properly covered or tarped
will be charged a
DOUBLE disposal fee. |
